Wales’ very first Innovation & e-Business Roadshow will travel to 5 locations across the country during February and March of this year and is an opportunity for businesses of all sizes to speak with and gain information from experts in many areas of business development, including Innovation, e-Business, e-Security and future technologies – for FREE!
The content of the roadshow has been created following input from over 200 innovative and proactive businesses and will look to cover these key areas:
Social networking – a session you will not want to miss - our keynote speakers from the world of ‘twitter’ and ‘facebook’ will be offering their top tips on how to maximise commercial opportunities for your business through this year’s ultimate phenomenon - social media. Learn about new ideas and techniques that can help your innovative business/product stay ahead of the game.
Business Innovation – the Welsh Assembly's Innovation Managers (IM’s) will be on hand to give you free impartial advice on your company’s innovation. From helping you develop new products and managing intellectual property assets, through design issues and manufacturing, to full commercialisation of your new products, services, processes and technologies.
e-Business – these valuable free of charge presentations from the e-business team will help you exploit technology like never before –streamlining processes, such as client relationship, enterprise resource and financial management systems, to improve efficiency, competitiveness and profitability.
The e-Business team will also be offering all companies a free business health check to identify opportunities for improved use of ICT.
e-Crime – what are the top threats for 2010 and what practical steps can businesses take to protect themselves? At the roadshow the e-Crime Wales team and information security experts will be hand to tell you how.
Future technologies – over 75% of you have asked for clarification on the benefits of using and adopting Cloud Technologies within your business. We will have experts on hand to explain and help you implement and manage Cloud Services should you wish to.
Collaboration – This session will look at how collaborative working can increase knowledge sharing and enable networks and clusters of businesses to work together better. Here at the Welsh Assembly Government, our aim is to introduce a Digitally Networked Business (DNB) relationship to all key sector clusters. We are currently working
with the following sector clusters - energy, creative industries, construction, bioscience and aerospace.
Finally, our DEMOZONE, will make sure this year’s Innovation & e-Business Roadshow will be a highly ‘interactive’ experience – where you will have the opportunity to try out the latest ICT technologies on the market such as Smart phones, Skype, Cloud computing, and phone linked Client Relationship Management (CRM) systems. For more information on this please visit the DEMOZONE page.
You will also be able to find out how businesses like yours have benefited from Innovation and e-Business support through our real business case studies.
We look forward to seeing you all at one of our roadshows in the coming months.
