SWANSEA: Stakeholder Meeting & Music Industry Development Fund Consultation

If you’re working in or somehow involved in the music industry, perhaps have an idea for a music venture or simply have a passion for music and want to find out more about the activities of Welsh Music Foundation (WMF), please join us for our next Stakeholder meeting at the Dylan Thomas Centre in Swansea on Wednesday 14th December 2011 at 6pm.
WMF will be giving an update on our new and forthcoming projects including the successful bid to bring Womex 2013 to Wales and international trade mission opportunities for your music, plus, we’re keen to hear more about the scene in Swansea and surrounds – welcoming any comments and thoughts on any music-related issues in the area. From the current state of live music in the city – we're open to discussing promoting gigs, venues and any licensing concerns, through to studio and rehearsal spaces and look forward to hearing from you!
Also, as part of this Stakeholder Meeting we’ll be offering details about the Art Council of Wales’ newly proposed Music Industry Development Fund and asking for your views on how the money could possibly benefit your business / career progression / music opportunities.
The full draft can be found here: http://www.artswales.org/what-we-do/consultation-documents
Stakeholder meetings are always a great opportunity to network with others involved in the industry and have a customary drink with us afterwards!
Open to all involved in the music industry in Wales…
