address:The GTi Suite Valleys Innovation Centre Navigation Park Abercynon
postcode:CF45 4SN
tel:07810 482 930
email:
www:www.musicatwork.co.uk
description:"Musicatwork – the sound approach to training” was founded in 2005 on the principle that all human beings have the capacity to respond to sound. Participants explore what is important to them using music and musical improvisation, and in doing so can facilitate positive changes in their behaviour, relationships, social skills, emotional intelligence and their relationship to themselves. Musicatwork uses music therapy sessions to enable participants to access and change habitual patterns and learnt responses, which are often locked within their emotions. Since music is a direct access to the emotions, musicatwork sessions enable change to take place in participants.

Musicatwork also facilitates team building, management skills and stress/relaxation awareness programs for businesses and organisations, using music as the tool which enables change to occur. Musicatwork is an HSE approved Level 3 Specialist for Stress Management at Work.

Musicatwork employ highly trained music therapists, who work with all ages and abilities, including people with learning difficulties, mental health problems, emotional, behavioural or communication difficulties and a variety of other non-specific conditions. All musicatwork music therapists hold a postgraduate diploma in Music Therapy and are state registered with The Health Professions Council, and are members of the Association of Professional Music Therapists following their code of ethics at all times.
